Tonite I went in to the shop to fix up the last 2 bikes of this Christmas season (a Barbie and a Spine Tingler). Thanks to everyone who has helped get the 60+ bikes fixed up for area charities. I made calls to everyplace I knew about and it sounds like all the bikes will find a good home locally. Any that don't will go to New Orleans next month.
Our next task will be organizing a bike day in January to hand out helmets and locks for the kids that got bikes for Christmas. The tentative date is Saturday Jan 14. We'll be looking for lots of volunteers for the day and for a few days before to get the shop cleaned up and looking nice, as this will be kind of a public open house. I'll be gone from Thursday Dec 22 until Jan 3, Will Ravenscroft will be handling things while I'm gone but I'll still answer emails and phone messages periodically.
